I’ve spent my career helping learners understand, participate, and grow.
My path includes more than 20 years in alternative education, online adult ESL instruction, and full-time virtual teaching. I extend that experience through instructional design, interactive learning, multimedia, and responsible AI-supported product development.
Teaching experience with design and technology range.
More than 25 years in education taught me to begin with the learner, not the technology. In a virtual school, that means looking beyond the screen to notice confusion, disengagement, access barriers, unfinished work, and the communication students and families need next.
My professional experience includes more than 20 years with the Orange County Department of Education across juvenile hall, independent study, community outreach, and alternative education. I also designed and facilitated online ESL instruction through Los Angeles Unified School District Adult Education.
At iQ Academy Los Angeles, I taught Grade 6 mathematics and Earth science, led homeroom and onboarding, monitored academic and attendance data, planned interventions, communicated with families and Learning Coaches, and collaborated with educators and support teams in a fully online environment.
I build the resources that make virtual learning easier to navigate: a centralized Learning Hub, browser-based science experiences, multimedia instruction, scenario-based courses, and responsible AI-supported products. These capabilities support my primary goal of helping students participate, make progress, and feel connected in virtual education.
